While candy tends to be the star of the show during spooky season, that’s not the only tasty treat to look forward to. Candy corn cupcakes will fly off your counter in an instant, mad scientist punch will have your guests crawling back for more and those classic Halloween snacks will have you trembling with delight. But we want to give the savory side of spooky a little more love.
That’s why these jack-o’-lantern stuffed peppers are about to be the star of your Halloween show. They’re so good, it’s scary.
How to Make Jack-o'-Lantern Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients
4 orange bell peppers 3/4 pound ground beef 1/2 cup diced onion 1 garlic clove 1 box of beef-flavored Rice-A-Roni 2 tablespoons butter 1/4 cup of tomato paste 1 tablespoon water 1 tablespoon brown sugar Shredded mozzarella to topDirections

Cut the tops off your bell peppers and set aside. Remove all seeds and membranes. Create the faces you'd like on the front of your peppers. Be creative—this would be a wonderful time to bring in the family for some fun together in the kitchen.2. Cook your filling
Cook the ground beef, onion and garlic in a skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Prepare your Rice-A-Roni separately according to the box instructions.3. Combine your filling
Take your tomato paste, water and brown sugar and mix well. Now create your filling by combining the ground beef, Rice-A-Roni and tomato paste mixture.4. Create your stuffed peppers
Split the mixture equally between your four peppers. Top the mixture with mozzarella cheese and place the top of the bell pepper back onto the jack-o'-lanterns.More Recipe: Oven Baked Crispy Chicken Legs Recipe
5. Cook your stuffed peppers
Place each pepper upright in a baking dish with a small bit of water. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes at 350°F. Feel free to remove the pepper tops and broil the stuffed peppers to make the cheese crispy.
